The wealthiest person on Earth has his hands full these days with many things. He is included in controversies, and he is facing legal issues while having his hands full with work at Tesla. However, it appears that he always has time to do a fun podcast episode. Recently he appeared on an episode of the Nelk Boys podcast, where he complained about how the government refused to let him at peace after he made one ‘insignificant puff’ of the blunt that Joe Rogan passed to him.
The FBI Performed Regular Drug Tests On Elon Musk After Joe Rogan Podcast Episode
This happened back in 2018. Elon got into some deep conversations with Rogan. They start speaking about Tesla airplanes, flying cars, and Tesla’s future plans. In the thrill of the moment, Joe Rogan passed a blunt to his friend, and without doubt, he puffed a cloud of smoke once he got it in his hands. The video of him smoking a joint became a hit and got so popular that it even affected the Tesla stock market price.
The reason behind these continuous drug tests is the fact that through SpaceX, Elon Musk works for the government so he can’t be a stoner. Or at least does some projects for them. Most of them are confidential, and that creates a sort of paranoia in the government – that he might be using drugs on a regular basis.
The idea of him getting these tests for drugs every now and then did not come from the government itself. According to Musk, SpaceX rivals will do anything to try and make SpaceX’s way more difficult. It is them that initiated this spark in the FBI that got until the point where they test him for drugs regularly.
The Joe Rogan Podcast episode got so popular that there the whole world watched it. The scene where Elon takes the joint became a widely used meme that is used even these days, 4 years after the ‘incident’.
SpaceX is in close collaboration with NASA. The sight of the first man at SpaceX smoking a joint shackled some high-level people at NASA’s headquarters. This causes a ‘culture’ check at SpaceX.
At the moment when Joe Rogan passes that blunt to Musk, the billionaire asks ‘it’s legal, right?’. While rising his eyebrows he took the blunt in his hand. This is legal in California, the place where Rogan filmed his podcast episodes. But, a person that is a role model for many and that is working on confidential governmental projects, smoking marihuana. Not a pleasant sight.
