It’s Monday again, everyone. Monday Night Raw comes to us here tonight once again. Liv Morgan will face Lana in a rematch from last week. I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer, and as always you can expect a full coverage of tonight’s show, including of everything we have to expect. So let’s get that going.
Liv Morgan vs. Lana
I know I for one am overjoyed, because frankly last week I was petrified that we wouldn’t be seeing this match again. After all, following a lengthy wait, when the two finally got into the ring, the babyface actually won decisively! Indeed, Liv Morgan just straight up beat Lana last week in a match where both Bobby Lashley and Rusev were banned from ringside. It’s the kind of stipulation you put onto the last match of a lengthy feud to ensure that people understand that this will be the definitive one, and the bout had the finish that one would expect from such a thing as well.
So naturally, it led to a rematch seven days later.
In a match where now, Rusev and Lashley are NOT banned from ringside! They actually made a point to say that on WWE.com, basically advertising that there would be shenanigans at play. Ahh, the state of this angle…
So yeah, the two least experienced women on the Raw roster in terms of sheer ring reps – don’t quote me on that, but it doesn’t feel wrong, does it? – will be squaring off live here tonight again. I’m certain it will be just as epic of a clash as last week, except now it’s gonna have run-ins~!
Snark aside, in all honesty, it wasn’t terrible. I mean Lana belongs in the ring like Ricochet belongs on a mic, but Liv looked pretty good. Good enough to where Lana probably doesn’t have any business beating her, but for the sake of this feud continuing, I suppose she has to this week. So yeah, I’ll have to say Lana over this go-round, Liv basically proved herself the better worker last week so it’s not too big a deal if Lana gets a cheap win in retaliation. And she will. I have a theory that Lashley will run in on this match, only to suffer the same fate himself later on in the evening…
