Nothing is ever over in Genoa City, and it looks like there’s a chance Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) could continue to wreak havoc for a while yet, and it’s all thanks to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Tuesday, August 23: Victor’s gloating comes at a cost
Victor’s riding high on feeling vindicated for playing with his children’s lives again and manipulating Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) for putting the family first.

We’re guessing Victor’s going to cross Chance’s path at Society at some point, and he’s still going to be feel like celebrating and pontificating.
He’ll proudly tell Chance he did the right thing in selling out his ideals for the family and that he’s proud of him and all that.
It’ll be too much for Chance to deal with and ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers think he’ll inform Victor he could’ve found enough for a criminal case had he kept digging, but he didn’t for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Victor will take it as a threat and mock him while daring Chance to bring it if he feels so confident and his family means so little to him.
It may not get that down and dirty, but at this point Victor feels untouchable and won’t hold back his feelings.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Tuesday, August 23: A mother’s plight
While Victor will antagonize Chance, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will be worried about Victoria’s mental health and pay her a visit to see how she’s doing.
Nikki won’t believe Victoria when she tells her she’s fine, and eventually Nikki will get the truth out of her about Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) stopping by to check on her.
Victoria will be honest and tell her he’s been a big help to her, but we think Nikki’s going to be more concerned there may be some emotions growing between them again and she won’t like that.
For Billy’s part, we think Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will put him on the spot to choose between being her COO or this podcast, or more succinctly, choosing between her and Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan).
We’re sure this will end well given how Billy’s responded to ultimatums in the past. We’re not so sure he’s going to be willing to give up either position if he’s backed into a corner.
