‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to dive into some fun spoilery goodies.
There’s going to be a couple of interesting storyline developments in this episode, and we’re pretty sure things are going to take a couple of sideways turns before things are over. Let’s see what’s stirring!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday, August 25: Making a splash
Phyllis Sommers (Michelle Stafford) is going to make a big splash when she closes a power deal that would put her on the map and cement her in Jabot and Marchetti for the foreseeable future.
This will also give her a leg up against the doubters that know, er, think she’s up to something. But that leeway won’t go very far when her plan goes off and collateral damage will be everywhere.

And since Phyllis’ plans always have collateral damage, it’s just a question of how much, and it’ll also potentially destroy her relationship with Summer Newman (Allison Lanier).
CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers doubt she’ll get off like Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), and that’s only going to make her efforts all the more tragic.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday, August 25: Kyles on the lookout
There may be hope for her as we think Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will be watching her to make sure she doesn’t do anything to hurt the company, but more importantly Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Kyle will be doing everything he can to ensure his dad doesn’t get hurt on any level, and it’s going to be a bigger job than what he’s currently doing.
Still, he’s bot going to abandon Jack and risk him or Jabot taking a huge hit if he can help it, but Kyle not good enough to watch Phyllis all of the time, and he’s got to be careful of Summer since she’s her mom and hire.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday, August 25: Chelsea’s her own worst enemy
We’d like to think Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) took some time to at least think about what Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) told her before ignoring every word.
But we know she probably didn’t, and she’s going to go off the rails in glorious fashion when she kisses Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) in mid conversation.
Since this would mean tons of trouble for Billy, we think it’s going to be a daydream of hers, and we hope that’s where the writers keep it.
Chelsea can be fun, but having her fall in love with every guy that’s kind to her is going to grow old very fast without a resolution, and the show’s not good at resolutions.
