Rob Schneider was not always a Republican. Quite on the contrary, he has had a colorful political history. The actor has been officially registered as a Democrat from 1984 until 2013 when he suddenly decided to affiliate with the Republican party. This affiliation ended up in 2017 when he announced that he is independent.

However, even though proclaimed ‘independent’, Rob Schneider now chose to come out and express his political views on a podcast for the first time in his career.
The Glenn Beck Podcast‘s host is the ex-CNN and Fox News journalist Glenn Beck. People recognize him as an extremely conservative person. Schneider opened up to him and said he supports the Republicans with all of his beliefs, even if that means ending his career.
Schneider says that now the time in his life has come, where the only thing he cares about is the future and the life of his children. Of course, this is closely related to the country they live in. He resumes his thought by making an anecdote concerning the WW2 period. He compared the recent time to when Americans were dying for the greater good in WW2.
“One of the reasons I had to get out of that Democratic party stranglehold is I saw that it was no longer protecting the rights of the individual. Those parental rights, they had no problem squashing it.” – Schneider explains why he doesn’t see himself as a Democrat anymore.
“I hate to crap on my own show When Hillary Clinton lost in 2016 – which is understandable why she lost. She’s not exactly the most logical person in the room. And then when Kate McKinnon went out there on Saturday Night Live in the cold opening and all that. She looks like Hillary Clinton, and she started playing ‘Hallelujah.’ I literally prayed, ‘please have a joke at the end. Don’t do this. Please don’t go down there.’ And there was no joke at the end, and I went, ‘It’s over. It’s over. It’s not gonna come back.'” – Schneider spoke about SNL where he spent 6 years.
