Now that the Good Brothers (Doc Gallows, Karl Anderson) have made their final scheduled appearance for Impact Wrestling at last week’s TV tapings in Texas, fans are talking about their possible return to WWE, but will that happen?
It’s a reasonable hope for fans to see them return since they never should’ve been released to begin with, but they should’ve been used more as a legitimate tag team than jobber side kicks to AJ Styles.
Are the Good Brothers WWE Bound?
Currently, the duo are expected to focus more on New Japan Pro Wrestling going forward as well as continuing the work on the work for their and Rocky Romero’s Talkin’ Shop A Mania 3 pay-per-view.
But there’s one rule in wrestling, and that’s never say never.
There were talks
PWInsider reported that there were previous talks between the WWE and the Good Brothers about returning, but that was with the Vince McMahon regime and the talks fizzled.
It was reported that Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson were wary after being burned when they signed to remain with the WWE instead of going to AEW when the company started only to be released after WrestleMania 47 tapings were concluded.
They weren’t interesting in returning for a reported pay cut and that led to talks ending, but the WWE is not being run by Stephanie McMahon and Nick Kahn as co-CEOs and Triple H as head of WWE Creative.
Triple H has brought back several released talents with Bray Wyatt rumored to return at Clash at the Castle, and Braun Strowman coming back for next week’s Raw (9/5).
Changing times
Triple H has been changing the culture behind the scenes as he wants to make coming to work fun, and the changes have been noticeable even if they’re just beginning.
This also means there’s plenty of opportunity for the Good Brothers to return if Triple H can find a spot for them.
The WWE’s tag team division needs to be rebuilt after the lackadaisical way it was handled previously and Gallows and Anderson would give them a huge boost.
The sticking point could be how much or if the Good Brothers would be able to continue working in Japan as that’s their home away from home.
The WWE’s policies on that are still largely unknown, but there is a chance that would be allowed or the WWE could cover the profit loss in their contracts, depending on what they’re willing to pay.
It’s going to be interesting to see if we’ll see the Good Brothers back in the WWE or not. Do you think they’ll be back? Let us know in the comments below.
