Seems like finally, we are about to see Jake Paul fight. After several postponed matches, several canceled, he finally found himself an opponent. He is about to face Anderson Silva next month in a match in which Jake enters as an underdog. However, despite his match with Silva happening next month, he is already looking for an opponent he can face after . And that is where Nate Diaz comes into play.
Nate Diaz just had his last match in the UFC on Saturday, when he won by submission over Tony Ferguson. After winning, in his post-fight interview, Nate Diaz said that he is considering transitioning to a different combat sport. And since a boxing match between him and Paul has been rumored for so long, the fans already expect it to happen.
Jake Paul Demands Nate Diaz After Anderson Silva – I Will Slap The Stockton Outta Him!
TMZ reports that after speaking with Jake Paul at his news conference on Monday, he told that a boxing match between him and the Stockton-born Nate is a real possibility.
“100%, 100%.” – Jake Paul told the journalists. “I’ll slap the Stockton out of him.”
Jake Paul confirmed that his main focus now is the upcoming fight with Anderson The Spider Silva. He revealed that he has a ‘ton of respect’ for him and that he expects the fight to be ‘tough’.
Looks like the fight will most probably be tough for Jake Paul. Even the UFC president Dana White confirmed that Paul, at last, has a real opponent.
Anderson Silva comes from MMA, however, he is not new to boxing as well. He had his first professional boxing match back in 1998 and since then he has a professional record of 3-1-0.
Jake Paul on the other side has a professional record of 5-0-0. He’s coming off a knockout win against the former UFC champion Tyron Woodley past December. Ever since he didn’t have luck with finding an opponent for him since both Tommy Fury and Hasin Rahman Jr canceled on him at the last minute.
Nate Diaz did not completely close his door back into the UFC. He announced that he is taking a ‘break’ from it, and he might eventually come back to fight for a title.
It was thought that there is bad blood between Nate and Dana White, however, after the UFC 279 post-fight press conference the impression is different. Dana White praised Nate for his skills and Nate confirmed that he ‘lost count of the money he made at the event’.
