Back in 2019, fans thought we were seeing the future of the NXT Tag Team division. With Malcolm Bivens as their mouthpiece, two Indian giants would start to tear through the roster. Known as Indus Sher, this team seemed set to be the next team in the mold of The Authors of Pain – but plans changed. One member would spoil the result of Keith Lee vs. Adam Cole – one of the biggest taped matches in NXT history. That was Sanga, who hung around in NXT – while Veer went to Monday Night RAW after months of hype packages.
Veer Mahaan Is Back In NXT With Sanga, Reforms Indus Sher
Now, Veer is back in NXT, as Indus Sher would reunite at a recent live event. Malcolm Bivens is not their manager however, as he’s now part of the AEW roster under the name of Stokely Hathaway – where he manages The Firm faction. At the event, they would wrestle Chase U, with both men going back to their old looks.
In recent months, Sanga has become a fan favorite on the NXT brand – playing a gentle giant type character, sticking up for those smaller than him in NXT. This has led to some big matches, and Sanga recently lost to Von Wagner. Many are hoping he doesn’t lose that character with Veer back around, as having both as babyfaces sticking up for people could make for an interesting act.
Overall, it’s good to see this tag team given another chance. While Sanga & Veer have both won fans over, they haven’t had insane success. The NXT Tag Team division is wide open right now, and Indus Sher will fit in nicely. Bouts against The Creed Brothers and former NXT UK Tag Team Champions Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen could prove to be some hard hitting heavyweight brawls.
Add in Triple H being in charge of creative for the WWE main roster, and him enjoying tag team wrestling more than Vince McMahon – and Indus Sher have some potential even outside of NXT. What matches do you hope to see from this team? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
