Welcome one and all! CBS The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers here with some spoiler goodies for Monday February 17. Things are about to get juicy, so buckle up.
The Mighty Liam Strikes Out
There’s something really cool about a show that opens itself to criticism so easily and keeps coming back for more. Even better when they do it so well, we can’t help but wonder if it’s purposeful or just a happy little accident. We at CBS The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers should probably feel bad about enjoying this so much, but we don’t. Is it wrong we’re hoping the show plays this out a hundred times better? Asking for a friend.

In this case, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) charged into the lion’s den to confront the dastardly despot Thomas Forrester (Mather Atkinson) about his plans for the lovely Hope Logan (Annika Noelle). And that’s where the fairy tale portion of this ends as Liam’s accusations are heard by not just one, bot both ladies waiting in the wings.
Hope and Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) return to the scene of the altercation and pair off.
Zoe moves off with Thomas to ask him if Liam is telling the truth. Thomas, being smarter than the average bear and with eyes still on his preferred picnic basket, denies all wrongdoing. He’s convincing because, well, he’s a sociopath and it’s like breathing to him.
Zoe believes him, or maybe wants to believe him, and the two seem to be on solid footing for the moment.
Liam, being the honest and well-intentioned lad he is, explains everything to Hope. He lays out every way he knows of that Thomas has used to manipulate her into being with him. Surely, she’ll see the error of her ways and things will go back to normal, right?
Well…
Apparently, Liam was absent the day they taught communication skills, because he should’ve known basically calling someone an idiot for not seeing things in the same way would make them dig their heels in more times than not.
Hope bides her time (she must’ve been planning for something like this the way her mother was going after her about it) until she’s ready, and then level’s Liam by pointing out if she is with Thomas, at least he wouldn’t be kissing other women.
Ouch! Game. Set. Match.
So, going back to Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Long)’s decision to send their weakest and already compromised soldier into battle… Wonder how they’re going to react when Liam returns dragging his bog boy pants behind him in defeat?
An interesting side note is there’s been no mention of Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Simiri) anywhere. We can’t help but wonder if he’s someplace out of the line of fire, or if he heard this and it’ll come up in a few episodes. Poor kid’s therapy bill is going to swallow the Forrester account by the time Thomas is done.
Flo lends comfort and support to Wyatt
On the flip side of dysfunction city… er, Los Angeles, we’re treated to one of the more loving and kind scenes between a man and the woman he loves. We can tell this the storyline the talented writers are working on.
There are few things in life that are more terrifying than being helpless when one we love needs us and we can’t do anything for them. It’s unimaginable what it’d be like to not even have the other person confide in us. It’s a betrayal of trust, sure, but they’d be trying to protect us from what’s coming. At least, that gives it some sort of selflessness.
Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) is going through that and then some since learning that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is dying. Given the fact he just broke up with her makes us wonder how he’s even functioning at the moment, but that question is partially answered by Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden).
Flo is supportive and offers comfort to Wyatt as he struggles with coming to terms with everything. She’s giving us a glimpse of they type of woman she is as her mothering instincts come out in full force.
This is an awesome way to set up the rest of this storyline as we move forward. She’ll urge Wyatt to do what he can to help Sally, and she’ll support whatever decisions he’ll make. Even if she doesn’t like them, or so it seems.
Exactly what’ll happen in the coming weeks is still debatable despite all the spoilers floating around, but it’s safe to say Flo is going to play a pivotal role in the time Wyatt and Sally have left.
There we have it. It looks like we’re in for a good balance of humor and seriousness on Monday as another chapter is shown and we continue down this road with our favorites.
