WWE Monday Night Raw rages on, following the words of war between Becky Lynch and Shayna Baszler. Backstage, we see the heel side of the oncoming tag team match where Lana calls herself and Bobby Lashley and the pair of Zelina Vega and Angel Garza the two hottest couples in WWE. She refers to the upcoming tag match against Rusev and Humberto Carrillo as a ‘double date’. Zelina clarifies that she and Garza are in a strict business partnership.
Rusev & Humberto Carrillo vs. Bobby Lashley & Angel Garza
Humberto and Lashley begin, leap frog, but he gets taken down with a shoulder block. Takes him to the heel corner, where Garza tags in for a wrist lock. Humberto rolls through for an arm drag, chops him in the corner. Whip to the opposite corner, Humberto gets him with a Springing Lucha Arm Drag. Another oen from the apron! And then a Springboard Arm Drag as Rusev knocks Lashley to the apron! Garza with a whip to the corner, Carrillo with a floatover, but Garza nails him with a charging dropkick! Strips off the pants and throws them at Rusev. He rolls out of the ring to get a kiss from a random woman at ringside, only to eat a suicide dive from Carrillo! Commercial break.
We come back to see that the heels have taken control again. Lashley is working over Carrillo. Gutwrench attempted, Carrillo escapes, springboard crossbody attempted but Lashley catches him! Humberto tries to reverse into a sunset flip but Lashley pulls him back up, only for him to slip out behind him and tag in Rusev! House of fire! Overhead belly to belly to Garza, charging body block into a second overhead belly to belly, covers, Lashley wants to break it up but Rusev stops him! Pummels him in the corner! Garza rolls him for a 2 count, ducks a roundhouse kick, nails a Superkick! Carrillo has to break up the cover!
Carrillo whips him, Angel takes him to the apron, Carrillo low bridges to send him to the floor, corkscrew tope to Garza! Lashley cuts him in half with a spear on the outside, only for Rusev to clip him with a big shoulder block! “Rusev Day” chant as Rusev throws Garza into the ring, Lashley grabs Rusev’s ankle as he tries to go up top, Garza gets him with an enziguri, tries to setup a Spanish Fly but Rusev knocks him to the mat, Diving Headbutt gets a nearfall! Rusev stomps Garza in the back to setup the Accolade but he escapes it, Lashley distracts on the apron to eat a Machka Kick, Garza rolls Rusev up for the victory.
Winners: Angel Garza & Bobby Lashley
About as expected, that one. Garza celebrates on the second rope until Rusev attacks him and sends him out of the ring.
