Liv Morgan is having a hard time shaking Ronda Rousey, as they once again meet over the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship. Morgan got her first win when she cashed in the Money in the Bank contract, and the second win while tapping out to the armbar – but pinning Rousey all the same.
Tonight, they meet in an Extreme Rules match – and Morgan needs to match the level of danger Rousey is capable of here tonight. Last time Rousey had no rules, Charlotte Flair was forced to say ‘I Quit’ and we haven’t seen her since. Tonight is the toughest fight of the career of Morgan, and perhaps her moment to truly shine.
Liv Morgan Enters The Fight Of Her Life
Morgan would go for the weapon as the bell rang, only for Rousey to toss her aside. A knee strike to the midsection would follow, before Roonda would look to get Morgan with an early submission. Morgan would be able to get free and grab a baseball bat, only for Ronda to disarm her.
Ronda would yank Morgan to the outside and try to trap her in the ring apron. Morgan would use the fire extinguisher to spray Ronda in the face, before being hit with Piper’s Pit. Ronda would nail Morgan with a home run worthy swing from the bat, but back in the ring would be kicked right in the face.
Spilling back out to the floor, Ronda would use her black belt to whip Morgan, before tying her to the ring post and whacking away with the belt. Ronda would be yanked into the apron – Morgan finally getting an opening in this match. She’d bring a table into the ring, before being slammed face first into it – and nearly get choked out on the ropes.
Ronda Rousey Becomes Two Time Smackdown Women’s Champion
Morgan would be able to tumble both herself and Ronda out to the floor, where a steel chair would be used to weaken Ronda slightly. Back in the ring, Morgan would hit a backstabber, before launching Ronda shoulder first into the steel ring post. The crowd would get behind Morgan as she whacked Ronda with the steel chair before a Codebreaker using a chair for a two count.
Morgan would take time to set the table up properly in the ring, giving Ronda a chance to recover. A chop to the chest would follow as Ronda was set up on the table, with Morgan going to the top rope. Diving Senton would follow, driving Ronda through the table – but only getting a two count.
Ronda would grab an armbar, but Morgan would power out for the Rampage escape, getting a two count in the process. Morgan would still be in the armbar, before a bicep crusher would be applied. The champion would fade, and Ronda Rousey is the new Smackdown Women’s Champion via referee stoppage!
