WWE Friday Night SmackDown continues after that rather violent Symphony of Destruction match. Daniel Bryan and Heath Slater’s rematch is later. After a vignette about King Corbin and Roman Reigns’ lengthy, lengthy feud, we hear from Corbin backstage. Calls Roman Reigns an evil maniac fed with a silver spoon who has to hide behind his cousins. Claims that Roman has never beaten him in a one-on-one match. No one will be there to bail him out when he breaks his flesh with the Steel Cage. Says after Super Show-Down, Corbin’s face will replace Roman Reigns’ on posters and on the sides of stadiums. Everyone will bow down to the King, believe that. Now, Alexa Bliss is here, for A Moment Of Bliss with the Bella Twins.
We have a recap of the 2020 inductees to the Hall of Fame thus far. The line-up consists of Batista, the nWo and now, the Bella Twins. On cue, out come Nikki Bella and Brie Bella. Nikki talks about how much of an honor this is, what a big deal it is for the Bella Army. Brie talks up Alexa for hosting the first female’s talk show in WWE. I guess that’s true, no one really pops to mind. The Bellas then mention both of them being pregnant, announced a week and a half apart. Nikki’s also gotten engaged and the Hall of Fame induction is really capping it all off. Nikki says she hopes the Bella Army will see be there with them in Tampa, Florida in WrestleMania.
As they sign off, out comes Daniel Bryan, holding his and Brie’s daughter. He makes his way to the ring for his upcoming rematch with Heath Slater and after a commercial, it’s here. Drew Gulak is on commentary.
Daniel Bryan vs. Heath Slater
Bryan tries for an immediate LaBell Lock, Slater slips right out and pulls him to the apron to work over the leg. Back in the ring he gets him with a knee breaker. Slater reverses a whip, Daniel with a floatover but the leg is shaking, Slater takes him out with a chop block. Goes up top, in spite of Gulak’s hollering at him to stop. Bryan takes him to the mat, Yes Kicks commence and he gets every shot of them. Bryan with the Yes’es, charges, Slater counters the Buisaku Knee with a roll-up for a nearfall, Bryan gets the Buisaku Knee afterwards for the victory.
Winner: Daniel Bryan
Gulak tries to save face saying Slater did much better than last week. After a little more video interference, we see Dolph Ziggler invite Mandy Rose to his car to drive her home. Otis Dozovic is watching from afar and gets a huge reception.
