It’s Monday once more folks, which means another iteration of WWE Monday Night Raw is upon us! Shayna Baszler will be in the building here tonight so things are likely to get violent! Shayna Baszler To Appear Live On WWE Monday Night Raw Here Tonight
So we of course all remember how this situation came about. Shayna Baszler, long time strangle holder of the NXT Women’s Championship, suddenly appeared one night to assault Becky Lynch after the WWE Raw Women’s Champion retained her title over Asuka in a hard fought battle. Baszler proceeded to take her down to the mat and bite the back of her neck. In a quite gimmicked spot, when Baszler came back up, she had a ton of blood around her mouth, implying that she had torn through the flesh of Lynch with her teeth.
Many vampire jokes aside, it was quite the angle to be sure, followed up by Becky hijacking the ambulance she was about to be loaded into so she could drive herself to the hospital they would’ve taken her to anyway, get treated with some kinda painkiller supposedly, before hijacking the ambulance again to drive herself back and cut a promo on Baszler. So uh, yeah, that was the story two weeks ago.
The week after, Shayna appeared on a video screen to respond to Becky and promise that she would go after her at WrestleMania, after winning the Raw Women’s Elimination Chamber match, coming up in a couple of weeks. Why she even needs to be in this match when the champion has made it very clear she wants a singles match with her, it’s entirely obviously going to be what happens regardless, and also Shayna beat both women’s champs at Survivor Series a few months ago which I think would more than warrant a shot, no one is quite sure. But we can assume she’ll blaze through that Chamber match all the same, and as for tonight, we may well see her run roughshod over the rest of the division as well.
