As we’re getting closer to the suspensions of those involved in the post All Out Media Scrum brawl ending, more news is coming out about how CM Punk is currently viewed backstage.
With reports that Punk threw the first punch and Tony Kahn is in talks to buy our Punk’s contract, it looks like All Elite Wrestling has decided that Punk started the fight and that could be why the Elite are returning.
Chris Jericho told CM Punk He’s a Cancer After the AEW All Out Media Scum Fight
From everything coming out, it looks like Punk is considered a cancer similar to how Terrell Owens was for any team he was on, and it looks like that perception is allegedly shared by Chris Jericho.

“You’re a cancer”
According to Fightful Select, Jericho confronted Punk after the brawl and called him a cancer to his face.
“Fightful Select was told by numerous sources that Chris Jericho approached CM Punk, unhappy about the Brawl Out fight as well as the nature of the scrum that had just taken place. Jericho told CM Punk that he was a cancer to the locker room, and a detriment to the company.”
Further reports say that Punk told Jericho it was none of his business and that he should leave. Apparently, sources close to Punk have confirmed this back and forth happened.
According to nodq.com, Dave Meltzer was told by a top AEW star that “another top star noted the team has decided he’s out and regardless of some being willing to work with him, the collective decided that he was voted off the island.”
To make things more interesting, Jericho liked a fan’s tweet we shared above that reads:
“Imagine that you’re CM Punk. You’ve had one of the most triumphant comebacks ever in the history of wrestling. You’ve been promoted as the star you never got to be in WWE. And within a year, you completely ostracize yourself, becoming so toxic that you’re not worth having around.”
Hurting his stock
Punk has always said others were why he was burned out in the WWE and we can understand why. For all intents and purposes, he came across as a true fan and lover of the sport like Bret Hart.
In the end, he comes across worse than Bret ever as. Bret’s lost family members and more to the business while being loyal to it and doing what it took to help everyone around him.
He may have valid points, but his actions and tearing down those around him have hurt any chance he has to express his views for the moment.
