Garcelle Beauvais has thanked Andy Cohen for his apology after claims he had been very insensitive to her during the ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ reunion.
RHOBH: Garcelle Beauvais Thanks Andy Cohen For Apologising To Her
During the episode in question Cohen was called out on the basis that he had been paying more attention towards Lisa Rinna in light of her revelation that she had thrown Garcelle’s book in the trash.
It had initially been thought that Erika Jayne had done this since she had shared a video clip of the incident, but when Lisa admitted that she had done it, Andy resorted to questioning Lisa instead of checking whether Garcelle was fine.
After all, Garcelle had been humiliated in front of the cameras since her book had been tossed in the bin. But after Andy came out with an apology, she has now thanked him for owning up to his faults.
In an interview with E! News, Garcelle said: “We spoke. Absolutely. He called me before he put out the apology and, you know, he’s great.
“There were a lot of things that were missed during the reunion and it was really sad and unfortunate, but, I like Andy and I think the fact that he stood up and said something meant a lot.”
This was a major step since Andy had shown that he was willing to take on board the social media reaction. He had been heavily slammed, which he recognised as he admitted he had not been “in tune with her feelings.”
And given that Andy had made a remark about Lisa and Erika’s recycling habits to mock the fact that Garcelle’s book was in the trash, he held his hands up for being out of order.
In some prior comments at the time, Andy remarked: “I need to really sincerely apologize not only for diverting the topic but for not returning — even worse — to the serious conversation that was at hand.”
It is great to see the duo in a much better place. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
