WWE Monday Night Raw rolls on following that damn good tag title match. Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy are backstage lamenting their loss. Rollins furiously demands a rematch for this Sunday at the Elimination Chamber, promising to take down the Street Profits and take back the Raw tag titles. As for Owens, he can name the time, the place and the stipulation because when he gets his hands on Kevin Owens… he will be crucified. Next, up comes Ricochet to challenge the 24/7 Champion Riddick Moss.
24/7 Championship: Riddick Moss (c) vs. Ricochet
Moss gets him in a side headlock, Ric escapes and gets him to the corner, chops him in the chest. Floatover, ducks a clothesline, but eats a massive shoulder block! Moss is now the longest-reigning 24/7 Champion by the way. It’s been a journey. Moss stomps him into the mat. Chant of “Who are you?” greets him. Ricochet wants a crossbody but Moss catches him, Fallaway Slam sends him over the top rope and to the floor! Commercial break. As we come back, Moss is working over Ricochet.
Sends him to the ropes, charges, Ric with a boot up. Charges with a kick that gets blocked, setting up a Dragon Whip. Exchange of chops, Moss whips Ric, who nails a flying forearm! From the apron, kick to the face, Springboard attack misses, Moss gets him with a back elbow, goes up top! Ricochet stops him with a leaping kick, pop-up rana, standing shooting star for a nearfall! Afterwards he tries to lift him but he’s selling his back. Fires up, hoists Riddick onto his shoulders, but Moss elbows his way free. Dropsault into an enziguri! Superkick, Moss counters into a Leghook Back Suplex! Inverted Headlock Driver for the victory.
Winner: Riddick Moss
Hahahaha Ricochet was challenging for the WWE title like four days ago. Just in case you were silly enough to think that perhaps Lesnar running right through him like a hot knife through butter was a bad sign for his future, well don’t you feel foolish now. He almost beat Riddick Moss for the 24/7 title!
Yeah he’s done here. Which is sad, because he’s one of the most talented wrestlers in the entire world but it’s just how WWE works. Ah well. It’s a good match and I am glad they’re finally trying with Moss, the guy clearly has potential. Let’s hope he doesn’t get Ricochet’d quite as hard.
