WE Monday Night Raw continues. AJ Styles and the rest of the OC make their way out for the match with Aleister Black. As they come out, we see clips of the Undertaker running through him like absolutely nothing at Super Show-Down. AJ is mad as he takes up the mic in the ring. Says he should be standing here with a beautiful trophy but that was stolen from him by the Undertaker. Crowd chants Taker’s name. AJ says that’s good, he’s the talk of the town… and not in a good way! How can you talk about AJ Styles in a negative manner in the first place, he’s phenomenal! Says there’s a video going around about Mark Wahlberg trying to give AJ Styles advice!
He actually rolls a video of Mark warning him to walk away, leave the situation while he still has a chance. That’s the best advice he’s gonna get. Walk away. As we come back, we hear chants of “Walk Away”! AJ says c’mon! He should be celebrating out here with the Good Brothers, but instead he’s getting advice from Marky Mark! And now, a “Marky Mark” chant. Says he’s not gonna take his stupid advice. Seems to him, he’s on a collision course with the Undertaker. Hopes Taker is watching because he has a match with Aleister Black tonight. He wants him to consider it a warning. Says Undertaker is a legend among legends but he tries to hold onto a spotlight that isn’t his anymore. It’s AJ’s. Heat for that.
Before the bell rings however, AJ says that Black will get his fight but if he wants to face AJ Styles… he must first go through the toughest man in the building! Up comes Karl Anderson!
Karl Anderson vs. Aleister Black
Anderson takes the advantage quickly, gets Gallows at ringside with a baseball slide. Round kick to the face of Anderson lays him out! Black gets in the face of AJ as we go to commercial. When we come back, Anderson has Black in a side headlock. Anderson gets Black with a big Spinebuster for a 2 count! Black escapes a hold, hits some shoulder blocks, legsweep, driving knee to the side of the head. Springboard Moonsault! Black Mass! And that is that!
Winner: Aleister Black
With Anderson taken out, he will now face AJ, allegedly! Styles in the ring. Gets on the mic and says hold up… might’ve said it wrong about the contract that he signed. To get to him, he still has to go through Luke Gallows! Gallows attacks Black from behind, takes him outside, slams him into the barricade! I think a “coward” chant is kicking up? Something like that. Gallows throws Black into the ring.
Luke Gallows vs. Aleister Black
Bell rings as Luke comes back in, Gallows charges in, eats several push kicks until he stops Black with a big boot! Elbow drop. Charging back elbow. Cover for 2. Black fights back, driving high knee, Gallows deposits him and sends him into the barricade. Commercial break, match continues in the inset. Black struggles his way back into the ring, eats another big boot. Hooks him for a snap suplex! Chinlock is cinched in. Black fights to his feet, punches to the gut. We come back in time to see Black take an uppercut, but he responds with a pump knee to the face! High kicks to the chest, Gallows blocks it and punches Black into the corner. Ref has to pull him away, threatens a DQ. Gallows keeps going, stomping him into the ropes until the official calls for the bell!
Winner: Aleister Black (by DQ)
Anderson rushes into the ring, the OC stomps on him as AJ Styles enters the ring! Chant of “Undertaker” fails to draw him out. Anderson & Gallows with a Magic Killer! AJ is perfectly happy to wrestle Aleister now. Black fights to his feet, happily accepting the match.
AJ Styles vs. Aleister Black
As the bell rings, Black limply swings at AJ but he evades him and Black just falls, AJ gets him with sweeping kicks to the back. Charging clothesline in the corner, shoves him to the center of the ring. AJ gives him a shot to the face… Black swings back, but then falls to a knee. Surprises AJ with a double kick! Blocks a kick, shots the inner thighs, AJ gets him with a backbreaker! Hooks him, Brainbuster nailed! AJ gets him with the Phenomenal Forearm. Crosses his arms like Taker to get the pin!
Winner: AJ Styles
And thus, Black’s Raw unbeaten streak finally comes to an end. Kinda sad we couldn’t see a real AJ/Black match but a very effective segment and hopefully that will be a hotter battle when it happens as a result.
