WWE NXT Results: Dakota Kai Defeats Tegan Nox In A Steel Cage Match

One of the more heated rivalries in NXT right now is between Tegan Nox & Dakota Kai. The best friends turned bitter rivals tore each other apart at NXT Takeover Portland, only to have the finish tainted by Raquel Gonzales getting involved. In an effort to avoid outside influence, their next encounter would be in a steel cage.

Dakota Kai Still Gets Help To Win

Much to the dismay of Tegan Nox, the hulking Raquel Gonzales would still be a major influence in this encounter. Having Kai in closed corners did give some satisfying revenge however, with Nox nearly getting the win on a few occasions with her lethal strikes. After thinking she had secured the win, she would climb out of the cage near the door, only to be sandwiched between steel thanks to Gonzales. Nox being trapped gave a battered Kai a chance to crawl to victory.

Tegan Nox Will Have To Remove Gonzales

One thing has become abundantly clear as this feud goes on. This is that should Tegan Nox finally want to get that big win over Dakota Kai, she will need to personally remove Gonzales from the equation. She has torn close victory from Nox twice now, and will continue to do so if she is still healthy. Nox has proven herself a deadly competitor, and if she is able to get a one on one chance to face Gonzales, she very well could remove her entirely.

However, even if she is able to get a one on one match with the texas born powerhouse, she will just have to deal with Dakota Kai at ringside. Candice LeRae or Mia Yim could be able to neutralize her easier than they would be able to Gonzales, but the numbers disadvantage will likely be the same for Tegan Nox.

These dirty losses to Dakota Kai have only served to build more and more fan support for Tegan Nox, and they’re eager to finally see her hand raised in victory. We have seen both women raised in status over this feud, and we could leave it with two potential top contenders for the NXT Women’s Championship. Kai is becoming a textbook hated cowardly heel, while Nox is becoming a beloved face.

Do you think Tegan Nox will be able to take Gonzales out of the picture to finally beat Dakota Kai? Let us know what you think in the comments down below.
