Last week on NXT, we saw Fabian Aichner & Marcel Bartel of the NXT UK faction Imperium beat down an unsuspecting Finn Balor. This was under orders from the Ring General, NXT UK Champion WALTER. Taking issue with Finn claiming that the NXT ring is his, he wants to prove once again that all rings belond to him. He last did this when Imperium beat Undisputed Era at Worlds Collide, and Balor will be next.
WALTER Has Forced Finn Balor To Take Action
Finn had a pretaped vignette this week, and he was very focused on revenge. He claims that WALTER has now forced his hand, and he won’t like what comes next. This was followed with a promise that he will be seeing Finn sooner than he imagines he would have.
Balor since returning to NXT has been a man to watch out for, and one of the few who can realistically beat WALTER. With NXT UK Takeover Dublin on the horizon, Balor is the likely next challenger.
Another Attempt To Make NXT UK A Big Deal
Ever since the NXT UK Championship was first revealed, people have had high hopes for this new brand which have never been realized. The NXT UK Takeover events get some great attention, and fans were shown how good their talent was in Worlds Collide as well as the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. It is clear that they want to place this brand on the same level as that of NXT, but they have yet to draw viewership to the weekly product.
Putting a certified star like Finn Balor on there for a set of tapings could be what they needed to get people to tune in and see what happens. With his claim that WALTER will be seeing him soon, it will keep fans guessing on when he will strike and how.
Finn has been a lone wolf since rejoining NXT, and will need to find a way to avoid the numbers disadvantage that Imperium imposes. He might need to tap into his past and find some support in this battle, being a well proven faction leader, having invented Bullet Club.
Do you think Finn will take the fight to Imperium solo, or will he find some help in this battle? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
