WWE Friday Night SmackDown begins with Alexa Bliss introducing the nWo to A Moment Of Bliss. Braun Strowman will be appearing later in the segment but we start with this. For some reason they’re in the ring this time, they’re pretty much always on the stage any other week. Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman make their way out. It’s noted that this makes all of them, including Hulk Hogan, 2-time Hall of Famers. Nikki says she’s always been a big fan of the nWo, yells “4 Lyfe” and takes a selfie with them. Alexa asks Sean what they call him, noting the many ringnames he’s used throughout his career. Sean responds that you can just call him a Hall of Famer.
Alexa then notes how one of the nWo’s biggest rivals was Bill Goldberg, the new Universal Champion. Heat for that. Brings up how Kevin Nash was the man who ended Goldberg’s undefeated streak back in the day. Asks what Roman Reigns will have to do to defeat Goldberg at WrestleMania. Says he was giving Roman advice earlier, the two things he needs to beat Goldberg is Scott Hall and a cattle prod. Hall says that was a shocking finish.
There’s an awkward delay before Shinsuke Nakamura’s music hits and out comes Sami Zayn and co.
Sami says 1997 was a great year but it’s time to stop living in the past and think about the future. Says the immediate future is that the three of them will be defeating Braun Strowman for the Intercontinental Championship at Elimination Chamber. Puts over how Scott Hall was one of the best IC Champs of all time, Diesel won it as well and Sean Waltman… well, he knows exactly how much it weighs from carrying these guy’s bags for all these years. Sean stands up just to show that he is taller than Sami and asks what’s up.
A brawl is teased, Sami says if you wanna fight, you’ll have to wait for another day. As they make their leave, Sami berates them for trying to get “the rub” from attacking them to make themselves relevant and get the big headlines on social media. Says they’re laser-focused on destroying Braun Strowman. Cue Braun’s music, Cesaro comes out to take the fight to him but Braun dispatches of him and Shinsuke before chasing Sami into the ring. Zayn looks trapped between Braun and the nWo, until he uses Alexa Bliss as a human shield before bailing. Braun tosses chairs way up the ramp after Sami and co. Promises that this Sunday all three of them will get these hands and it’s gonna be 2 Sweet.
