With recent events, it’ll be no surprise to ‘The Young and the Restless'(Y&R) Spoilers when Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) takes a hard turn to the dark side and possibly joining Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).
Of course, teaming up with Jeremy may be further down the road as she’s currently circling the drain into some dark territory.
No matter how she tries to make it sound, Phyllis is solely responsible for bringing Jeremy to Genoa City, and until she admits it we suspect things are going to get worse for her.

Not only will she lose her job at Marchetti when Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) fires her, but she’ll rebuked by Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) when she tries to put the blame on him for not knowing about the skeletons in Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters)’s closet.
Never mind he warned her it was better to leave Diane be, or that her fellow Mean Girls Club members didn’t want her to actually contact Jeremy.
That’s not important as she’s swallowed up in her self-righteous quest and loses her mind in the process.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Darker things to come
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers thought she would work to find Diane for Jeremy, and while she didn’t when he requested it, that door may be open to her now.
With everyone turning against her, she’ll continue to think the only way to prove herself to them is by eliminating Diane all together.
This will open up a far darker doorway than she’s currently in as she’ll actively seek to destroy Diane in a way the show hasn’t seen in a long time.
It’s going to be interesting to see if the writers actually go here, or if Phyllis will continue flailing around, trying to get someone to understand her insane line of thought.
There’s plenty of options for the show to go with this storyline as Diane continues her redemption arc, and it’ll get more interesting as time goes on.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Nowhere to go
Phyllis has lost everything for her revenge quest from selling the Grand Phoenix to losing her job at Marchetti and even her daughter to a point.
It’ll be a hard road back, but first she’s got to realize her role in it instead of blaming everything on Diane.
Whether or not she does will be a fun storyline to dive into, and given how she’s only more entrenched in her thought process now, the only way for her to wake up is if Summer or her grandson is hurt.
