With so much wrestling on television today, sometimes Impact Wrestling get lost in the shuffle. Impact Wrestling have a lot of things from its past that work against them as far as trying to get a larger market share in wrestling. Here is where Impact Wrestling stand in wrestling today.
Impact Wrestling’s Spot in Wrestling Today
Impact Wrestling has a long history of having terrible front offices. This led a company that would still be in the number two spot right now instead of the third spot.
That third spot is shaky at best. The only thing keeping Impact in the third spot over a company like MLW is that they have a television deal, even though it isn’t available in many markets.
It is not all bad for Impact though. They have a very important place in wrestling today.
While if they weren’t around, I’m sure that WWE and AEW would pick their rosters apart and no one care about it after about a month or two, I think that there would be a void left in the wrestling world.
Impact is a company that wrestlers from other company that just don’t quite have everything could go to and get the space and time to grow as a performer. There have been a number of wrestlers that are doing big things in wrestling.
When you look at people like Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, and AJ Styles, they used Impact to raise their stock and the other companies took them after they showed their value.
While I think that Impact as it is today is very stable, the spot that they have is very obtainable by a company below them that is ready to make the investment to grow.
There is a cap on how much Impact Wrestling can grow because out their ownership issues. They probably won’t be able to get a better television deal than what they have now.
