After being outvoted in a poll, Elon Musk decided to eventually step down as the CEO of Twitter. He promised that he will ‘abide by the results of the poll’ and he is looking forward to keeping the promise. Having the Twitter CEO position vacant, many people show interest in filling the empty position. There are people like Snoop Dogg and other rappers that offered their service to the billionaire, however, one name steps out from all of them. The Youtuber and internet celebrity Mr. Beast.
Taking into consideration that he has a successful career on social media and knows how to manage stuff, many consider him to be even a good replacement for Elon Musk. In the past couple of days, Mr Beast publicly confronted Elon Musk about some changes the latter did in recent times.
Will Mr Beast Take Elon Musk’s Vacant Twitter CEO Position?
The billionaire decided to ban stories that will be shared through other social media companies. That way, you are no longer able to share Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok links on Twitter. The reason behind this decision is that people cannot promote, or advertise different social media companies on Twitter.
Mr Beast was one of the most vocal opposers to this decision. He wrote that Elon Musk should step down from the CEO position. Especially if he intends to continue with such ‘divisive’ practices.
In a separate tweet, Mr. Beast asked Elon Musk if he can take over the vacant position of Twitter CEO. Elon Musk acknowledged the social media personality and told him that the proposition is plausible.
“Can I be the new Twitter CEO?” – Mr Beast asked the billionaire.
“It’s not out of the question.” – Elon Musk replied.
Mr Beast is a YouTube personality that is the most successful content creator on the platform. People know him for his creativity and braveness to create content that requires a lot of money and extreme devotion. He currently has more than 122 million subscribers on Youtube. His videos have tens and hundreds of millions of views.
Since he knows how to manage, and is politically neutral he might be a great fit for the position. Unlike Elon Musk, who is politically active and is the most polarizing figure on the platform.
It is the first time in history that the person with the most followers on the platform is the owner as well. In the beginning, many thought that this might be a good thing. However, as time passes by and Musk spends more time in the CEO position, it shows to be counterproductive.
