WWE Friday Night SmackDown in an Empty Arena continues. Michael Cole is in the ring with a couple of chairs, introduces Roman Reigns. Cole asks Roman how that felt coming out to absolute silence. Roman says it’s definitely weird as they’re in a business based around reactions. But it’s cool to be back in the Performance Center. Cole asks Roman about the idea that Reigns just up and put himself in this title match at Mania and hadn’t earned the shot. Reigns says he headlines house shows every single day, so why shouldn’t he headline the biggest show? Parlays that into taking shots at Goldberg for being a part-timer.
Reigns says this is all he thinks of, he’s eaten from the WWE table his entire life. He’s been groomed since he was just a little boy. Goldberg doesn’t know what he’s in for. It’s not about one move, Spear vs. Spear he’s mastered the nuances of performance and at WrestleMania he’s going to take the title.
Backstage, Sami Zayn, Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura want an interview but they’re told that they’ve actually been bumped. Sami says that would enrage him but he’s just too happy to be IC champion!
The actual guest is Jeff Hardy!
He says he’s glad to see Sami’s so happy to see him. He knows he has a lot left to do in WWE. King Corbin interrupts, says not everybody is happy that he’s back. SmackDown is run by a benevolent king who keeps peasants like him in line. Asks what he’s even going to do tonight? Walk a straight line, recite the alphabet backwards, close his eyes and touch his finger to his nose? Jeff says he actually has a big match tonight… against Corbin! Corbin’s furious, especially when Elias comes face to face with him and tries to sing him a special song. But Corbin doesn’t wanna hear it and backs off. Elias says he has no idea what’s in store for him.
Right, I forgot Corbin was dealing with Elias… so he’s not actually open after all. I suppose that means Jeff really only has Sheamus to feud with. There is atleast a little history there, Sheamus once kicked Jeff’s teeth out during a tag title match at Payback a couple of years ago. Also Jeff isn’t big, making him Sheamus’ natural enemy these days.
