WWE News finds that John Cena might be yet another WWE star who has managed to successfully transition from the ring to in front of the movie cameras, but that doesn’t mean he’s totally over his long and successful career as a wrestler. As a matter of fact, the new Hollywood star couldn’t help but get emotional while talking about his retirement and the last match he had with Roman Reigns. Here’s what you need to know.
As many fans know, John is the kind of guy who eats and sleeps wresting. It’s in his blood, to put it simply. That’s why when a reporter asked him about his retirement, he had a hard time fighting back tears. John Cena is not only a great and talented athlete, but he also loves wrestling more than anything else in the world.
WWE News: John Cena Gets Emotional About His Retirement
During an interview with the WWE Raw Talk show from 2017, the wrestler was asked about his retirement and needless to say, he got quite emotional while talking about his past and his future. John said, “It was a… it was a very emotional night. I haven’t done a lot of these and haven’t been in a lot of situations, and being in the same building where I jumped into the crowd after I won my first championship, it’s cool, it’s… [almost breaks down], no it’s cool man, it’s all right. It’s just that transition is tough, but it’s wonderful, it’s beautiful.”
A lot of John’s fans responded to the comments he made in the interview by saying, “John Cena is a legend. He made history in the WWE and he will for a fact, be a Hall of Famer,” along with, “Over 15 Years.. say whatever man.. he carried wwe on his shoulders.. people either chant his name or boo him or blame him.. didn’t matter, coz they all came to see him.” Another fan pointed out at the time, “You may hate him now, but when he’s gone, things will be different.”
