WWE Monday Night Raw will be coming to us tonight in some form or fashion, folks. We do know that AJ Styles and the Undertaker will be having a contract signing here tonight on this empty arena show. It’s a crazy time for us all. I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer and I think I speak for all of us when I ask that you please stay safe and be smart in these trying times. It’s one of the wildest periods I’ve ever lived through, to say the least. Tonight, Raw will be taking place from the Performance Center with no fans in attendance and you can expect much the same from all WWE shows for the next few weeks at the very least. We’ll see how they handle it this time around.
AJ Styles & The Undertaker Contract Signing Tonight
The very idea of the Undertaker in a contract signing is kinda funny to begin with, not that we haven’t seen it before. I actually do vividly recall Taker putting a pen through Brock Lesnar’s through hand as the only notable segment in the build for the match that ended the Streak years ago. I dunno if we’ll be seeing the same kind of action tonight but never the less, AJ and Taker will be here to make official the sixth Mania match, a show that will itself now be taking place in an Empty Arena, crazy enough.
This angle thus far has seen AJ call out the legends of WrestleMania to try and put himself above them, one of those such legends of course being the Undertaker. And so at Super Show-Down in Saudi Arabia, the Undertaker appeared out of nowhere to win a gauntlet he wasn’t in, chokeslamming AJ Styles and pinning him immediately in the process. Later, Taker would also cost AJ a match against Aleister Black at WWE Elimination Chamber. In response, AJ came out to make a weird worked shoot promo in which he brought up Undertaker’s real life name and took constant potshots at his real life wife Michelle McCool.
He then challenged Undertaker to a one-on-one match at Mania, specifying perhaps because of the rumors of a potential 3-on-2 OC vs. Taker and Aleister handicap match, which to be fair would totally fit the storyline thus far. This may still end up being the case, if something bizarre happens to change the match in this segment.
