Sister Wives fans have been demanding for a spin-off for former sister wives, Christine and Janelle Brown’s friendship after ditching Kody. Christine, the first wife to dump Kody even admitted during interviews that she was certainly open to doing a spin-off with her former co-wife turned friend. Has TLC decided to satisfy their fans?
Fans Want A Christine and Janelle Brown Spin-Off
The Sun has reported that a spin-off featuring the the ex-wives of Kody Brown isn’t such a farfetched idea. The news outlet shares that a source close to the Sister Wives cast members has confirmed they are in “serious talks” with production companies – planning to produce a spin-off series. “They are working on it, that’s for sure. It’s in serious talks and development,” the source shares.
Is Christine And Janelle Brown Spin-off In The Works?
The insider also told the outlet that the spin-off series would focus on empowerment of women with a heavy focus on Christine and Janelle’ life after polygamy. The source also confirms that the kids are completely onboard and a number of them may even feature in the series. The source did not share whether Janelle and Christine were planning with TLC or an alternative network.
Fans of the TLC show have told TLC that they wanted a spin-off about Christine Brown breaking free from Kody and polygamy, even before Janelle followed suit and left the patriarch. Now that Janelle has also left him, fans want towatch a series with a spotlight on Janelle and Chrsitine’s relationship and how they are able to have without Kody and his favorite, and now his only wife, Robyn draining the life and joy from them.
The 18th season of the show does have a green light and fans know that it has started filming. Christine has already shared during interviews that even though she has left the polygamous family, as long as they wanted to continue filming the series, she wouldn’t leave. She says it was something she agreed to be part of a long time ago, so she won’t leave now.
