One year ago, we had one of the more tragic moments in modern WWE history. During a tag team match on Smackdown Live, former WWE Champion Big E broke his neck. A suplex gone wrong from Ridge Holland would see Big E land on the top of his head, and that could well be the end of Big E’s in-ring career. He’s been healing up over the past year – and is waiting for the next call on if he will be making a return to the ring. Despite this, Big E has not let his spirit dampen, and is fine with whatever the doctor has to say.
Big E Isn’t Rushing To Any Judgements Ahead Of Doctors Appointment
While speaking with TMZ, Big E would have the following to say about how he feels ahead of upcoming doctors appointments. He’s ready for anything, including the potential of no more wrestling. Big E had the following to say.
“I just want to make the best decision. I have to see what the scans say, talk to doctors, go from there. Right now, before I know anything, I’m not going to make any rush to judgments. Just see how everything looks. No anxiety. Everything is in permanent. If it comes to an end, cool, if it doesn’t, cool. What will be, will be. I’m good with whatever. Life will always give you twists and turns that you don’t anticipate. It’s about doing the best you can with what you got. Life is gift. If you’re here, if you’re walking, if you’re healthy and have your family and friends, you’re blessed. Focus on what you do have and not what you don’t have.”
Even if he’s unable to return to the ring, Big E considers himself fortunate to be able to still live a healthy life. This injury could have led to long term damage or Big E being wheelchair bound, so not being able to wrestle anymore is a small price to pay at the end of the day. Fans have rallied behind Big E, being pleased that’s alive in healthy – with a chance of an in-ring return viewed as a mere bonus.
