In one episode, Oussama disclosed that he almost did not marry Debbie. Not only that, but her children have made it clear that they had question marks over Oussama’s motive for the relationship.
Debbie expressed her desire to discuss future plans with Oussama as she was not keen on residing with his parents. However, Oussama insisted on saving money and suggested staying at his father’s house.
Furthermore, he casually mentioned that Debbie should go back to the United States to take care of her affairs. The fact that Oussama asked Debbie to return to the United States came as a shock to her.
Oussama clarified that they needed to spend more time together before getting married since they had never cohabitated before. Debbie expressed her regret that her partner did not inform her earlier about his opinion before she made the decision to relocate to his country.
She shared her feelings that the entire situation made her feel unwell, and she found it hard to comprehend his statement that they needed to know each other better despite having been in an online relationship for three years.
She also felt disconnected from him now. In her comments, she remarked: “I had expectations and I believed your word to me, that you loved me and we were to get married and now you’re telling me you’re not going to marry me and this is a two-month test drive?”
According to the statement given to the cameras, Oussama claimed that he still had feelings for her and his love for her had not diminished.
However, she no longer trusted his words as he had a different perspective now. When she met him last year, he was eager to marry her, but his sudden change of mind left her disheartened.
