By now, we’ve all heard that Roman Reigns pulled out of his WrestleMania 36 match against Bill Goldberg for the Universal Championship due to concerns over the coronavirus. It’s understandable given that his immune system as been compromised from his leukemia, and the fact it never truly leaves one’s body. But now there are rumors that Reigns will miss more than WrestleMania.
More time missed?
As shared by @high_risk_maneuver, it offers insight to Roman Reigns possibly taking off more than just WrestleMania with everything going on.

While some fans won’t agree or like this, it makes sense that he would be held out or choose to remain out of things until vaccines and/or a treatment program is devised.
The sad part about this is Reigns will have to wait possibly a couple of months before he’s able to enter the ring again without risk. By then, he’ll be back to square one and have to start over, but he’ll get his push. That’s guaranteed.
Whether we like it or not, he’s got to do what he feels is best for him. None of us want to see him or anyone put into danger unnecessarily.
This also raises questions about the WWE going forward in that if they do lose their top face, will this mean Seth Rollins will be pushed as the top guy, or will Braun Strowman finally win the top title and become a true unbeatable monster he should be?
The current circumstances are creating a lot of questions that we can only speculate on, but it’s making things interesting to say the least.
Triple H speaks on Reigns pulling out
After a few days of the WWE reportedly reorganizing their upcoming card, Triple H spoke on the subject and said it’s up to the talent whether they wish to perform or not, and nothing’s held against them.
(Special thanks to Hindustantimes.com for the transcript)
“You know, there are various talents, and I don’t wanna get into the specifics of WrestleMania because that’s a must-see event, but we don’t like to take precautions with our talent, any more so than we need to, and all of our talents are in this in a voluntary capacity. If they don’t want to be a part of this, they feel there’s a risk, for whatever reasons, be it themselves or somebody around them, they don’t have to be here.
“Nothing is held against them for that. Same with our crew and everybody else. We don’t want to take chances on that, and with Roman having a pre-existing condition, that would make him more susceptible to something, it’s understandable.”
This is good to hear, and it speaks volumes to how seriously many are taking the coronavirus threat by passing on the “Granddaddy of them all.”
There’s nothing easy about this decision, I’m sure, and massive respect and good luck to anyone taking part or pulling out over health concerns. Their first thoughts should always be about their personal safety and that of their families, and we wish them nothing but the best going forward.
