Jordynne Grace is one of pro wrestling’s top talents, and she has officially finished out her contract with Impact Wrestling.
Her final match was at Under Siege for the Knockouts World Championship, where she lost to Deonna Purrazzo with the stipulation that if she lost she can’t challenge for the title as long as Purrazzo remains champion.
It was rumored that she would be leaving the company when her contract expired, and Fightful Select announced it officially happened.
It’s been reported that she wants to explore other avenues outside of wrestling, with one option being to focus on her exclusive content that’s reportedly made her a millionaire.
Another is that she may want to continue pursuing her body building career and she did talk about how difficult it was doing both, so she has plenty of options.
Turning the page
Since her debut with Impact Wrestling in 2018, she’s ascended to become one of the top talents that top people in other companies are reportedly interested in, and there were rumors that she was going to AEW last summer.
While those rumors were squashed, there’s every chance she could give another company a chance as she’s said she’d love to face WWE’s Rhea Ripley and we have to admit seeing both power houses facing off would be an awesome match.
She’s stated that she would like to retired from wrestling with Impact, so there’s ever reason to think she could go elsewhere and return.
Of course, this could be the end of her in ring career as she’s previously stated she’d like to retire before she suffered a serious injury and become a writer or agent since so few of them are women.
Grace is only 27 years old and that means she has a lot of time left to do what she wants and she did say she’ll be back in wrestling, so we’re taking her at her word.
In the end, she’s going to do what she thinks is best for her and that’s great. She’s given us some of the best matches and memories around, including becoming the first Triple Crown Knockout Champion with her world, tag team, and Digital media championship reigns.
It’s going to be fun seeing what other interests she’ll focus on and we wish her the best in any endeavor she chooses.
One thing is for sure, she’s made a mark in women’s wrestling and it’s one that won’t quickly be forgotten or surpassed.
