The EST of NXT might no longer be able to claim that nickname. Last night at Wrestlemania 36, we saw a fast paced match between RAW Tag Team Champions The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) and the team of Angel Garza & Austin Theory. After Street Profits were able to come away with the win on their biggest stage yet, things broke down into a brawl. The manager of Garza & Theory, Zelina Vega would get involved to make it three on two. Not one to sit aside, Bianca Belair saw this as a great chance to make her name known. She hit the ring and took Zelina Vega out with the K.O.D (Kiss Of Death) Facebuster before being raised up on the shoulders of the Street Profits. Is she done with NXT, and joining Monday Night RAW?
The Wife Of Montez Ford
While some might be confused as to the connection between Belair & The Street Profits, it is quite simple. While they have rarely all been seen together on TV, Bianca Belair is married to Montez Ford. They wed in June of 2018, when both were still in NXT. Since Street Profits moved up and found more tag team success as one of the most popular teams on RAW, it was only a matter of time before she joined them on the roster.
Finished With NXT
While Belair was never able to capture the NXT Women’s Championship, she came dangerously close on many occasions. Her latest was at NXT Takeover Portland, where she took Rhea Ripley to the limit and nearly changed the Wrestlemania 36 match. She also proved she was equal to Charlotte Flair during their recent match. That alone proved it was time for her to move on to bigger things, she had outgrown the Black & Gold brand. With the stacked roster in NXT, she will not be missed in the ring, and will be a large asset to RAW.
Bianca Belair Could Be The One To Beat Becky Lynch
She might have seemed like the new manager of Street Profits at Wrestlemania, but she is going to be a contender for the RAW Women’s Championship very soon. Becky Lynch has beaten everyone, even Shayna Baszler and needs someone new to test her. That could be the freak athlete that is Bianca Belair. After an expected mixed 6 person tag with Vega, Theory and Garza, we will see her in the Street Profits corner, and them in hers.
