Last night at Wrestlemania 36, Bayley was able to retain her Smackdown Women’s Championship in a Fatal Five Way Elimination Match. She defeated Tamina, Naomi, Lacey Evans and Sasha Banks. Sasha Banks was eliminated due to a miscommunication between her and Bayley, as Bayley would hit her with a knee and during their argument Lacey Evans hit a stiff women’s right. Bayley would still get help from Sasha Banks in retaining, but has she realized that she has created a monster, one that needs to be shut down.
Bayley Has Beaten Everyone On Smackdown But Sasha Banks
Over her dominant reign as Smackdown Women’s Champion, Bayley has taken on all challengers and knocked them all down. That is, except her best friend in Sasha Banks, with Wrestlemania 36 being their first match against each other since Bayley turned heel. That could be changing soon. Without anyone to beat, barring some call ups from NXT, we should see them finally be placed into a long feud.
A Scornful Look Post Match
A small touch which is helping to tease this feud came in the post match. As Bayley celebrated her victory to an empty WWE Performance Center, Sasha Banks stood on the ramp and stared her down in a scornful manner. This shows that their relationship is starting to crack, and the implosion is coming soon. With them being the top act in the division and getting plenty of TV time, it will not take much to end this for good.
One Of The Best Feuds In NXT History
While they haven’t had a memorable match on the WWE main roster yet, their clashes in NXT are still legendary. Their match at NXT Takeover Brooklyn is considered one of the best in the history of women’s wrestling, and their Iron Woman match being the first of it’s kind for the company, and also being highly regarded.
