‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers here and we’re set to kick off a new week with some fun spoilery goodies to share.
New beginnings are in the air as most in Port Charles look to starting fresh or for better or worse.
There’s a lot happening with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) finally heading to prison for a crime he didn’t commit, and there’s going to be some fallout from that. Or there should be.
Let’s get to some spoilers!
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers Monday, July 3: Making peace
“General Hospital” Spoilers don’t expect much out of Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) sitting down to talk about Drew.
The writers missed a huge opportunity by not having Scout throw a tantrum when Drew told her he was going to prison and at some point she’ll find out he chose Carly and her family over his own daughter.
He showed himself to be scum while claiming he’s doing it for the greater good, and the writers let him off the hook for that.
And now that the women in his life will have a chat, we don’t expect much out of this. If anything, we have a feeling Carly will be looking for a sympathetic ear or the money from Aurora Drew promised her to pay her debt.
The money and legacy that’s supposed to be his daughter’s he had no qualms about offering without talking to Sam.
Honestly, Sam should throw Carly out on her backside, but we expect she’ll hear her out, and she’ll probably placate her to some degree and Carly will appreciate it.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers Monday, July 3: Out of the fire
Speaking of Drew, he’s going to begin his stay at Pentonville, and he’ll be greeted and welcomed by Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
This has us curious as to whether or not Cyrus had a hand in the judge coming down hard on Drew. Considering Cyrus isn’t supposed to have any power left anywhere, we’re curious how he’s managed to create a power structure in prison and if he can reach out much more than he has.
We once mentioned this could be a way to write Drew off the show, and having him killed or seemingly killed in prison would be one way to do that.
But maybe there’s more at play as the writers will try to redeem him for tossing his daughter aside for his girlfriend. Looks like we may get some answers soon.
