WWE Monday Night Raw is on again tonight. Incredibly, it’s going to be live! Even though it feels like WrestleMania just happened WWE have already shifted focus to the oncoming 2020 edition of Money In The Bank. What state the world will be in by the time we get to that show, who can say? But at this point there’s no reason to assume WWE won’t plow forward with it. As always, you can expect full coverage of tonight’s show, meaning live results and recaps, plus a quick look at everything that’s on tap this evening. With no further adieu, let’s get to the WWE Monday Night Raw Preview!
Drew McIntyre To Celebrate His WWE Title Win
Last week, Drew McIntyre won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. Regardless of what form it had to take, McIntyre as a world champ is definitely the right call. He didn’t get to really celebrate the win however thanks to the Big Show making an impromptu title challenge and technically main eventing WrestleMania in the process. They didn’t show that match until the end of Raw and since they didn’t want to spoil the result, we didn’t end up seeing Drew in any other capacity.
In other words, his post-Mania Raw opening title celebration had to be postponed. Kinda fitting to the times in a grim way. But we’ll get to see him tonight and likely get an inclination as to who might be going after him next.
Women’s Money In The Bank Qualifiers To Take Place
The Raw half of the Women’s Money In The Bank ladder match will be decided all at once here tonight. Asuka takes on Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan is a huge underdog against Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane goes up against the recently returned Nia Jax. I think these are all fairly safe predictions: Asuka, Shayna and Nia to advance. These are all technically heel/heel match-ups but that’s kinda never mattered less than right at this moment so hey.
The Man Comes Around
Becky Lynch is advertised to be making a significant appearance tonight. There’s a lot of curiosity as to who on Earth her next opponent could be, given that there don’t seem to be a ton of viable options. When Nia Jax came back I assumed they’d finally get their big one-on-one match since Nia was a big part of Becky Lynch’s rise in a weird sort of way. But it doesn’t look like that’s happening too quickly.
Someone noticeably absent from the MITB qualifiers is Liv Morgan, who they seem keen on pushing this Summer. Maybe she’ll end up getting the shot. Natalya also isn’t in the above list and Nattie/Becky is basically one of their stand-by match-ups. Bianca Belair is here on Raw now but I can’t imagine them going for that match so quickly. Of course we could always get another surprise NXT move to challenge her. Perhaps it’s already happened if Rhea Ripley sticks around… we’ll see.
