It’s time for the biggest match on the biggest party of the summer in WWE with SummerSlam 2023 – as it’s home to a huge battle royale.
With so many top names in the mix, including Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, Sheamus, LA Knight, and Matt Riddle – whoever wins is likely to find themselves in the hunt for a championship following SummerSlam, giving extra motivation to everyone involved. It’s also sponsored by Slim Jim – promising the winner a lifetime supply.
LA Knight Outlasts The Field Of A Battle Royale
One last entrant would be announced by MVP – the return of Omos. The match would begin as Omos stomped to the ring, and immediately eliminated Apollo Crews & JD McDonagh. Rick Boogs would follow, before Alpha Academy & Brawling Brutes tried to isolate Omos – but was fought off. Otis was eliminated, before Chad Gable took Giovanni Vinci out.
Ludwig Kaiser would drop him with a rushing kick to Gable, before trying to get her out of the ring. Tomasso Ciampa would eliminate the Viking Raiders and Shinsuke Nakamura, before being thrown out by Bronson Reed.
Austin Theory would eliminate Cameron Grimes, before being met by Santos Escobar – who drove Theory out of the ring before Karrion Kross hit a big lariat.
Kaiser thought he eliminated Gable, but turned his back before Gable was out – and was eliminated as a result. Butch & Riddle tried to fight Omos, but were both eliminated.
LA Knight would take the fight to Omos with some jumping lariats before running into a big knee strike. Grayson Waller, Reed, Kross & Sheamus would work together on Omos, before AJ Styles hit the Phenomenal Forearm. Everyone united – and Omos was eliminated.
The Miz & Waller would work together on Gable, failing to eliminate him before Knight would eliminate Miz. Sheamus would take out Waller, and Styles eliminated Kross.
Reed would take out Gable, before Knight was able to force Reed over the top rope. Styles, Sheamus & Knight were the final three – with Kross grabbing the ankle of Styles to help Sheamus.
Knight would take a pumping knee strike from Sheamus, before slipping out of the Celtic Cross. Sheamus would hang on when put over the top rope, and climbed to the top rope. A big suplex would follow, before Knight eliminated Sheamus to get the victory.
Shayna Baszler & Ronda Rousey Meet In An MMA Rules Match
When Shayna Baszler & Ronda Rousey became the WWE Tag Team Champions, few could have expected their team to implode so quickly. At Money in the Bank, they would lose the belts to Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodrieguez, after Baszler turned her back on Rousey.
Their friendship was shattered, and tonight – they meet in a match suited to their skillset. Being two of the ‘Four Horsewomen Of MMA’ – they will meet in an MMA rules match, only winnable by KO or submission.
Ronda would grapple with Shayna as the match began, before being whipped down to the mat with a takedown. Ronda would keep the heavy strikes coming, with Shayna absorbing the blows before trying a submission – but wasn’t able to get it applied.
Shayna would fight off the attempt at an armbar, able to roll free. Ronda would take a roundhouse kick to the face, and roll from the ring – able to maintain on her feet due to this. Back into the ring, Shayna would go for a kneebar, but Ronda fought free before a step up knee strike.
A triangle choke would be applied by Ronda, but Shayna would lift her to the ropes and dump them both over the top rope. Back into the ring, Shayna pulled herself to her feet and went into an all out brawl with Ronda before a German Suplex. Kirifuda Clutch was applied, and Ronda was unable to use the ropes to get free.
Ronda would counter into the armbar, trying to end Shayna with her trademark hold. Shayna was able to break free, and applied the Kirifuda Clutch – and was able to choke Ronda out for the biggest victory of her WWE career.
