In 205 Live, there are some men who have been on the brand since 2016, and they came from the Cruiserweight Classic intially. Most have been able to find success, except for Jack Gallagher. Despite being a crowd favorite for years, he was never able to capture the NXT Cruiserweight Championship. He was unable to make an impact in NXT, and not even in NXT UK. His matches would steal the show, but he could never become champion. That finally got to Jack Gallagher, who has come back with a new killer instinct and look. Is this Jack Gallaghers time?
Showing His MMA Prowess
While you might not think it by looking at him, Jack Gallagher is an undefeated MMA fighter. He maintains a 2-0 record, and might be looking into fighting more in the future. This is what makes his new style so fitting. Lately, he has been focusing on grounding opponents and beating them down with stiff strikes, also grinding them down in submissions. If you strike back, he just gets angry and hits harder. He has been in some hard hitting matches with Tyler Breeze & Oney Lorcan since coming back, and even wrote Lio Rush off TV during his return with his brutality.
Jack Gallagher Might Be Unstoppable
His only loss since returning was in the 10 man elimination tag team match between 205 Live & NXT. He was on team 205 Live, and was the last man standing, being left to face both KUSHIDA and follow B-Block member Isiah Scott alone. When placed one on one with an opponent, he has been unstoppable. While his match with Oney Lorcan ended in a no-contest, he had the match won after a massive headbutt before Tony Nese entered the ring and attacked. This will likely just further enrage Gallagher, meaning that Scott, El Hijo Del Fantasma, and Akira Tozawa could be in for a rough time.
A Way To Get Revenge On KUSHIDA
During the previously mentioned 10 man tag match, KUSHIDA forced Gallagher to tap out, and Gallagher has not faced KUSHIDA since. With KUSHIDA being the favorite to win the A-Block, Gallagher would be able to ensure he gets revenge by winning the B-Block. This will have him extra motivated, as if the prospect of finally being champion isn’t enough, he can redeem a loss in the process.
