It appears that the WWE is considering a new city for WrestleMania 41. Next year’s showcase—WrestleMania 40—will take place from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With plenty of time to build up stacked shows for 2025, the consideration of a new city is interesting.
Mind you, WWE could very well pick one of the usual cities in rotation. The thing is that knowing what cities could get WrestleMania gives them a little time to prepare for the multi-day event. However, selecting a new location will definitely raise buzz once we know who are in the running.
WWE Is Considering a New City for WrestleMania 41 in 2025
Normally, WWE runs with a handful of major cities for WrestleMania such as the Los Angeles area, New York, Orlando, New Orleans, etc. Basically, big market cities. It’ll be interesting to see what city ends up being the chosen location and if it’s a new location.
This piqued interest because it has been revealed that WWE is considering Minneapolis, Minnesota. Fightful reported that Minneapolis city planners leaked the company’s supposed renewed interest in the city. According to those inside WWE, the city’s U.S Bank Stadium made the city an appealing pick.
In addition, WWE is said to be keen on Minneapolis and its push to draw more non-sports-related events such as wrestling and concerts. Beyond Minneapolis, no other city has been mentioned as a new location nor has a well-visited city.
Minneapolis being considered is also a nod to the city’s wrestling history being the base for the American Wrestling Association. The promotion’s legal and content assets are owned by the WWE. AO, there is some sort of tie-in here and not a totally random location.
Again, there’s no rush for WWE to announce a potential card—obviously—or a venue. Hell, next year from Philly will pave the road for WrestleMania 41. This is all buzz for that event. It’s to get everyone talking.
With that said, the consideration of Minneapolis could point to WWE scouting the Western markets for new cities. California dominates that part of the market for the company while out East, there is a variety of markets to hit up and even a few one-off cities.
What do you think? Can you see Minneapolis being the pick for WrestleMania 41 or is there a better city? Let us know down below!
