Right now, Seth Rollins is one of the most popular professional wrestlers in the world today. The current WWE World Heavyweight Champion has arenas full of fans singing along with his theme song, with this even continuing after the music ends. Rollins loves the energy that fans bring, and even thinks it rivals the energy fans brought when he teamed with Roman Reigns & Jon Moxley as The Shield.
Seth Rollins Knows His Entrance Has Some Major Energy
During a new interview with GQ, Seth Rollins had the following to say about the energy that fans bring to his entrance.
“Oh, hands down. I mean, look, you want to go back a dozen years, it probably rivals the energy of The Shield’s entrance. There’s something special about coming in right through the people—that really riles you up, because you’re just in there with it. But for me as a solo performer, the energy and the relationship I have with the audience at the moment is on another level. It’s 13 years into my WWE career now. It’s something I could have never expected. So, it’s really fantastic to be at this point, to be having so much fun, and to feel like everyone’s out there having fun with you. As soon as the ‘Burn It Down’ hits your ears, it just feels like a party out there. And I’m very, very, very humbled to be at the center of that.”
Burn It Down is a WWE theme song that can’t be changed at this point, ensuring it remains iconic. WWE has an issue with theme songs not being very recognizable, but is starting to build up certain songs.
Rollins Will Defend Against Shinsuke Nakamura Next
Rollins is set to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship next against Shinsuke Nakamura. This would be confirmed on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, when Rollins offered Nakamura the title shot – only to take the Kinshasa.
The match is set for next week, marking Rollins fifth title defence, having beaten Finn Balor twice, Bron Breakker once, and Damien Priest once.
