Following the tragic passing of Bray Wyatt, fans have been calling for tonight’s (August 25) WWE Smackdown episode to be a Bray Wyatt tribute special.
Since then there have been reports that the WWE has put everything on hold for Bray Wyatt, and that includes plans for Smackdown.
It looks like Smackdown will be a Bray Wyatt tribute, and there are other reports that Cody Rhodes and Braun Strowman are being flown in for the show due to their history with Wyatt.
It’s fitting and something the WWE should do give Wyatt’s popularity with the fans and what he meant to those he worked with.
Since Triple H shared the news, there has been a constant outpouring of love as the industry paid their respects and memories of their interactions with Wyatt.
Booker T was shook when he heard the news live on his podcast, and others had stated they don’t know what to think just yet and wished his family the best.
Paying respect
Impact Wrestling prerecords their weekly shows, but when the news came out, they didn’t live tweet throughout their broadcast out of respect for Wyatt’s passing and released a statement.
With all of that, it’s fitting that the WWE will do a tribute show for him and if it does happen, it looks like Triple H will come out to get it started.
We expect some of his most memorable matches and moments, as well as hearing from the WWE Superstars as they’ll share their thoughts on the situation.
Of course, there’s every chance we’ll still see matches to keep some of the current storylines going. The WWE is notorious for having the show go on and it may not be a bad thing to break things up.
There have been some other things coming out about the WWE, and one of them is that they’re allegedly going to donate the net proceeds from Bray Wyatt’s merchandise sales to his family.
Vince McMahon has always been generous when it comes to helping those he considers loyal or having hardships in general, and after this, Wyatt’s family will need all the support they can get emotionally.
If there is still an income coming in, that’ll eliminate one major concern for his wife to worry about.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time. He was one of the most creative minds ever and it was a joy watching him work.
