At Wrestlemania 36, on Night Two we saw Rhea Ripley defend the NXT Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair. This was the first time an NXT title has been defended at Wrestlemania, and Ripley was expertly picked apart by The Queen herself. Now a two time NXT Women’s Champion, what would Charlotte have to say to the NXT Women’s division and her next challenger in Io Shirai?
She’s Better And She Knows It
When you’re the child of Ric Flair, you can’t afford to be a let down. That was the job of David Flair, not Charlotte. She inherited her fathers incredible skill, and his inflated ego. She mentions how good it feels to be able to call her shot and succeed once again. Rhea Ripley was a tough challenge and is the future of the division, but Charlotte is the present. Winning this championship has made her goal clear, she wants to dominate the past, present and future of WWE.
She was the best in NXT when she there, she proved she as the best in WWE, and she even proved she was better than a legend like Trish Stratus. For the past 5 years, she has proved she is the best of the best, she has beaten them all, she beat the streak of Asuka. Now she has heard that the NXT Women’s division is the best in the company, and she wants to rule the best division.
Charlotte Flair Personally Picks Her First Opponent
While Rhea Ripley will be looking for a rematch and Io Shirai earned her shot at the NXT Women’s Championship, Charlotte has another opponent in mind. This is Mia Yim, who was the first person Charlotte originally faced in WWE. Both have evolved greatly since that match and are completely different types of competitors. Mia Yim is first, but she wants Regal to line up everyone so she can knock them all down. She will prove she is the best of the best once again, this time in NXT.
Are you excited to see what Charlotte is able to do in NXT with this new run? Who will be the one to eventually stop The Queen? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
