All might not be well within WWE following the merger with Endeavour. Vince McMahon is once again in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, stemming from his hush money related issues.
This has drummed up speculation about continued McMahon family involvement in the company, with both Stephanie & Shane McMahon as potential replacements for Vince. Some fans don’t think Stephanie is the right fit, and Shawn Michaels seems to agree with that.
Shawn Michaels Likes Anti-McMahon Tweet
A fan on Twitter would share the following, prompting a ‘like’ from WWE Hall of Famer and current WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative – Shawn Michaels. The tweet read the following.
“Why should he give the company to his daughter? It’s his company and he built it. If he wants to cash out then let him. And Stephanie has hardly proved she can run the country. Just look at how she treated Dusty after he owned her in a promo or how she keeps claiming credit for women revolution.”
It needs to be noted that a ‘like’ on Twitter could mean many things beyond endorsement. Other options include simply bookmarking a tweet for future reference, or even a simple misclick. Stephanie McMahon is the wife of Michaels longtime friend and current WWE Chief Content Officer and Head of Creative – Triple H.
The Door Remains Open For Stephanie McMahon In WWE
Currently, Stephanie is not involved with WWE – but President Nick Khan has stated that the door is open to her to return if she wishes. Khan had the following to say on the Bill Simmons podcast.
“Well, I don’t know what the future holds, but with Vince as the chairman of the company, Paul, the head of creative. Me and the role that I’m in, you know, Stephanie wanted to do something with WWE, of course, WWE would embrace that. The WWE Universe would embrace that. I think she’s enjoying some time off. And you know the drill. After grinding hard as you’ve grinded, hard as she grinded, to take a few months off, she still has school-age children; she and Paul do. I think she’s enjoying herself.
