With the recent merger of WWE & UFC to form the new company TKO – lay offs were expected. These extended beyond simply backstage roles however, and a list of WWE superstars are now set to become free agents.
With WWE’s traditional 90 day non-compete clause in place, they will be unable to appear for another televised company until December 20th, 2023.

Where Will Talent Head After 90 Days?
The biggest name on this list is Dolph Ziggler, being a former World Heavyweight Champion for WWE. He remains at the top of his game in the ring, but went under utilised by WWE for the past few years.
Another name set to make an impact after 90 days is Mustafa Ali – who has been working for a WWE release for the past few years.
Shelton Benjamin is one name who intends to make an impact outside of WWE once again – posting the following to Twitter.

Benjamin has a past in both Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling, making him a potentially alluring signing for Tony Khan. Alongside Ziggler & Ali, Benjamin rounds out the most likely signings for AEW.
Impact Wrestling has ties to Emma, who performed there as Tenille Dashwood – making a potential return alongside husband Riddick Moss. Both would make for excellent additions to the Impact roster. Elias & Boogs would also fit into Impact Wrestling, with their character work suiting the company.
Dabba Kato is also a hot prospect – being a talented super heavyweight, which is always a needed role in professional wrestling. Despite making his debut in 2022, Bryson Montana is another to watch – having been fresh to NXT and showing potential in his provided in-ring time.
