So, Jade Cargill is a WWE superstar after a dominant reign as TBS Champion and an over two-year run with AEW. It was something many predicted would happen. Cargill was one of a few women’s talent on the AEW roster who truly looked and carried themselves like a WWE-grade superstar—something AEW needs in men and women’s division in numbers.

However, Cargill was never put in the mix to really have a go at the AEW Women’s title. She mowed through the TBS rankings easily with her size and made the belt worth noticing with her presence and charisma. It seemed certain she would win the Women’s title if she stayed with the company but there was always that high chance she would dip on the company if WWE came knocking.
Of course, we all read the reports that WWE was interested in Jade Cargill. It was pretty much sealed she would be jumping. Now, it made sense that she went through the TBS title rankings and had a run with the belt as she was still extremely green when she signed with AEW. The secondary belt in a division or a promotion is usually a test run to see how a talent handles being a heavily featured performer and the backbone of a program.
The problem is that Jade held the title way too long, she should’ve been promoted to the Women’s World title picture months ago and she should’ve been booked as strongly as she had been with the TBS title. That’s all fantasy booking most wrestling fans had already done. Now a WWE superstar, Cargill is doing the press rounds and spoke ESPN about facing Bianca Belair, a pretty easy fantasy match many fans have presented.
Of course, Cargill felt that the match was a WrestleMania main event bout:
“It’s definitely a WrestleMania main event. That is something that will have people glued to the television screen. Something that will have people buying out stadiums. That’s a dream match. People will show up and show out for that one.”
Mind you, she didn’t say this was for the upcoming WrestleMania 40 from Philadelphia. Belair is young and isn’t heading elsewhere, so depending on how Jade Cargill develops in WWE and how Belair is handled in 2024, we could see that bout as a main event.
