WWE Friday Night SmackDown rolls on. Tamina is being interviewed backstage and says she won’t be disrespected by a bunch of bratty, masquerading mean girls. Sasha Banks appears before Tamina and acts all hurt, saying after everything they’ve been through, she’s talking like that? She tries to have a heart to heart with her and acts like she’s her friend, but then Tamina turns around in time to grab Bayley by the throat as she was attempting a sneak attack! Sasha attacks from behind though and they pound on her together until Lacey Evans makes the save! Officials have to separate them. In a different part of backstage, Sonya Deville is talking with Dolph Ziggler about his earlier confrontation with Otis.
Dolph says just because he knows the way the world actually works doesn’t make him a bad guy. But he gets it. They cheer on Otis because they can see themselves in him but the both of them know that guys like them don’t actually win. They get pats on the back, sympathy likes and participation awards and start to believe that heart actually matters, like it can overcome talent. Promises to go to the Money In The Bank ladder match and win, and become Universal Champion. In a hushed, pretty creepy voice he says after Sonya is finished hurting Mandy, he’ll slide up next to her and make her feel better. Yipe. This parlays into Otis and Ziggler’s match, with a spot in the Men’s Money In The Bank ladder match on the line.
