WWE Monday Night Raw continues. We come back from break and what do you know, it’s to a tag team match in-progress between Kevin Owens, Apollo Crews and the team of Angel Garza and Andrade.
Kevin Owens & Apollo Crews vs. Andrade & Angel Garza
Owens and Apollo are dominating, Crews with a Delayed Veritical Suplex. Quick tags until the heels take over, stomping and pounding. Owens with a big chop to Andrade but he reverses with a chop of his own, whip to the opposite corner, Owens explodes out with a big lariat! Solid punch, big chop, tag to Apollo, Andrade rushes away to tag in Angel! Apollo with a couple of clotheslines, big boot takes Andrade to the floor, Spinebuster nailed to Angel! Apollo roars. Zelina Vega up on the apron with a distraction of the ref, Austin Theory tries to interfere but Crews avoids it and he actually nails Angel Garza, this sets up the Blue Thunder Sit-Out Powerbomb from Crews for the victory!
Winner: Apollo Crews & Kevin Owens
Afterwards, Andrade sneak attacks Austin Theory and Angel Garza eventually joins in. They take him to the outside and just brutalize him. They pull him up and Zelina yells in Austin’s face, says he’s useless and she shouldn’t never believed in him. She slaps him across the face, Andrade and Angel whip him into the barricade and then throw steel chairs onto him. That sure was a quick turn. Not sure if Theory’s a face now or if that was his write-off and he’s just going back to NXT now.
Backstage Drew McIntyre says every Monday night is always a good night for the Claymore. Says the brand-to-brand invitational is perfect, it allows the WWE Universe to see dream matches. And his own personal dream match has fallen into his lap. He gets to face off with Baron – no, King Corbin. Says he knows all about Corbin, he’s seen him in the locker room, in hotels, dealing with people in public. Says he really truly is a bad dude. But in the ring he does some really bad things to people as well. Still, he asks Corbin is he really thinks he can take him on. Says he has a Claymore with his name on it.
We now see the Axe Throwing competition in earnest. Erik and Ivar nail the target over and over. Montez Ford makes reference to Tiger Woods and Ivar is terrified of a tiger being in the woods. Erik explains that performance anxiety is common for your first time. Ford takes offense, tosses the axe and it just flies off into the sky.
