Last November, WWE fans were treated to the first ever women’s Wargames Match. It was always going to be memorable for being a historic first, and it ended up being a fantastic and dramatic match. From moments like Io Shirai hitting a moonsault off the top of the cage, Dakota Kai turning on Tegan Nox making it 4 on 2 for Ripley & LeRae, to all around great action, it was one of the best modern War Games matches. However, Rhea Ripley had an idea that WWE nixed long before the match began.
Rhea Ripley Wanted Bianca Belair To Give Her A Mid-Match Tattoo
While speaking with NXT UK star Flash Morgan Webster on his Wrestling With Friends podcast, Ripley would reveal that she wanted Bianca Belair to tattoo her during the match. This would have given her a permenant memory of this historic match. “I wanted to plan a spot with Bianca Belair. Didn’t know how it was going to work, but I wanted to make it work. I wanted to get a battery-powered tattoo gun and I wanted Bianca to rip the fishnet in my pants and I wanted Bianca to tattoo lips on my leg while everyone held me down. I wanted it so bad. They were like, ‘I don’t know if that’s hygienic.’ Yeah, true,”
Beyond being unhygenic, this would have taken an incredibly long amount of time, and would have killed the pace of the match entirely. It was cool in concept, but it’s hard to imagine this working in practice. It is also not the first time that this idea has been brought up, with Chris Jericho & CM Punk wanting to do something similar during one of their past feuds.
Wanting To Be The Most Tattooed Wrestler Around
While people like Aleister Black have her beat at the moment, Rhea Ripley has intent on being the most tattoos out of anyone in the wrestling industry. This spot would have helped her goal, but the bigger opposition is that WWE has banned her from getting upper body tattoos. Despite this, her legs are almost entirely inked, though her gear hides these tattoos.
