Another episode of WWE Monday Night Raw begins. We are but days away from the Greatest Wrestling Match Ever. Tonight, we have an episode of the Peep Show with Edge and Christian having themselves a reunion. It appears our opener is a big one as out comes the Raw Women’s Champion Asuka – she has herself a rematch with Charlotte Flair tonight! The bell sounds as we prepare for the match but instead of Charlotte, out comes Sasha Banks! Asuka is agape at this. And of course Bayley is with her, the Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Bayley tells everyone to relax and says the crowd should be thanking them for gracing them with their star quality, as should Asuka. Sasha says she knows most nights would be a great night to start off with the Raw Women’s Champion but tonight is not that night. Bayley talks up how the two of them beat Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross to become tag team champions once again, and that’s in addition to Bayley being the reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion. Asuka yells at them and says this is her ring and is demanding a fight already. Bayley says they know normally this is her ring but as the tag champs they’re allowed to go to any single brand that they want. Sasha tells her to back up, shut up and get out of their way.
But now, out comes Charlotte Flair for real! As she goes down the ramp she talks about how they’re going brand-to-brand just like the Queen. Good luck keeping up with her stamina. Tells them to please get their victory lap in before someone swoops in and takes her title like last time. As she enters the ring she tells them to make their leave so she and Asuka can have their match since that’s what the people really want to see. But now we have the IIconics making their way out. They claim she’s not the sharpest tool in the shed. The match people want to see isn’t happening tonight it’s at Backlash – the Women’s tag title threat match featuring the champs defending against Bliss-Cross and the IIconics. They also make sure to note that they’re the ones who ended Sasha and Bayley’s first reign with the tag titles.
Asuka yells in Japanese and Charlotte says “What she said”. Bayley and Sasha berate Flair for trying to drive a wedge between the two of them and they show off their titles. Flair says atleast she doesn’t need a title to be relevant. Says the two will still be garbage. Sasha and Bayley attack her and the IIconics also jump Asuka for basically no reason. But the two teams then stare each other down until the faces attack them and drive them out of the ring.
