MVP is being interviewed backstage, says if the interviewer wants to hear the full details of the excruciating Full Nelson that Lashley applied to McIntyre and will do so again at Backlash, she’ll have to listen later tonight on the VIP Lounge. R-Truth appears and is looking for a hiding spot. MVP calls him a clown and Lashley attacks from behind to put him in the Full Nelson to drop him. They walk off. Truth continues to be the only one they’re consistently willing to feed to Lashley in the build to his world title match.
We now have the Viking Raiders and Street Profits in a decathalon. Sword fighting is one of the Raiders events evidently. Profits beat the Raiders in a race. Raiders win in Archery, Dawkins unfortunately shoots an arrow into a dude’s foot. Raiders seem confused by the concept of the Flip Cup challenge and they continue trading victories. Now it’s sword fighting time. Ford and Erik are in armor with shields and swords… but Montez just decides to forfeit, a rare wise decision. Profits win the Hurdles competition because of course the Raiders thought you were supposed to go through them instead of over them. They never seem keen to explain the rules to each other in advance. “Stick Fighting” is next? I’ve never seen this one before but basically Erik and Dawkins both hold two sticks and Erik pulls him into an inflatable pool of milk and that’s a win. Mkay. A dance-off is next. They do a Shawn Michaels and Diesel impression to HBK’s music. Ivar decides to instead do a round of Fandango’ing and flirts with one of the judges. The lady gives the Vikings the win because Ivar is cute but Erik isn’t, this joke must continue. But the deciding vote goes to the Profits anyway.
Shotput is next. Dawkins actually one-ups Erik on the toss surprisingly, for the first consecutive victory since this “feud” started, putting them up 5-3. Now we have Turkey Eating and of course the Raiders win. Pole Vault is up next. Ford yells about how they want the smoke as he goes up and clears the bar. Ivar demands they raise the bar! And of course he clears it with a front flip and ties the whole thing up 5-5. This of course settles nothing.
