The Street Profits & Viking Raiders Engage In Cinematic Brawl | WWE Backlash 2020 Results

WWE Backlash 2020 continues. The Street Profits and Viking Raiders are actually in a parking lot brawl for some reason! They end up fighting onto Braun’s car and smashing the windshield yet again. Angelo and Montez grab some golf clubs to swing but Erik and Ivar have shields – and Erik has an axe! Ivar… has a bowling ball. Profits want none of this and turn tail and run but eventually they turn around and do face them? Montez yells this has gone crazy. Says they should put them down and fight like men. Slowly drop their weapons at the same time. But Montez asks “What did the five fingers say to the face?” They then punch the Raiders, Montez with a Matrix style kick taking down Ivar, Erik with his Inverted Hip Toss into a knee lift. Erik and Dawkins fight their way away, when Ivar dramatically gets the bowling ball again. He rolls it right into Ford’s crotch and he sells it big.

Ivar says “Sorry fam” and walks off laughing. But then he sees Erik selling as he sits against the wall. Ivar asks what happened but Dawkins was lying in wait, big pounce sends him right through the glass door! Damn! They’re both writhing in the glass. They say anything they could do, they can do better. They struggle to their feet and ask why this escalated so quickly. Ivar says we should take this outside but we’re already outside, he charges away regardless. They make their way over to the parking lot again but they’re interrupted by a motorcycle gang? What the hell? One of the cyclists comes off and walks up and takes off the helmet to reveal… Akira Tozawa? And the other bikers are ninjas. Tozawa says anything you can do, he can do better and he challenges them. Profits and Raiders huddle up and say those are ninjas… they gotta do this together. With a strike of lightning, they wield solo cups, a shield and a turkey leg. They want the smoke. Tozawa summons his ninjas!

They attack but the Raiders and Profits defeat them in a karate movie style scene that sees them splashing water, faux martial arts and a double team slam that further shatters that poor windshield. It’s… it’s quite a spectacle but I feel like we’re very far away from a Raw tag title match. They celebrate their victory with a leaping sitcom credits pose. In the end Tozawa is begging off… but he’s calling someone over. It’s a very large ninja with a sword. Ivar holds his hand out to summon his turkey leg like a lightstaber. The ninja unsheathes his sword and Ivar drops the leg. Erik promises he’s got this one but they don’t let him try it, they all rush up onto the production truck. But Ivar’s lagging behind because of all that turkey in his tummy.

Once they converge they argue over who actually beat up the ninjas and they start fighting again. Dawkins takes Erik off the truck with a bulldog! Ford talks about how crazy that is and how they’re supposed to be the Viking Profits but Ivar up and shoves him off and then leaps off and they all crash into the dumpster. We see a recap of ladies calling Ivar cute but Erik not so much. Finally a referee comes out and she asks what they’re all doing, their match is next. And she too finds Ivar cute but not Erik. And… there’s a rumbling roar that spooks them and then there’s like a reptilian, alligator tail in the dumpster and they all flail in terror as they scramble to leave in what seems to be a Star Wars reference. And the segment ends there.

    What.

I’m a hardcore wrestling fan, by which I mean I’m a hardcore fan of wrestling... but I also have nothing against hardcore wrestling! I’ve been watching since 2006, back when I was 12 years old. In that time I’ve fervently followed WWE, TNA, ROH, Lucha Underground and others. Today I’m most passionate about NXT, New Japan and especially AEW! You could call me a modern wrestling savant but I know my old school stuff as well... I’ll be your huckleberry all night long.
